About Tobias

Maryland Entertainment Hall of Famer, Tobias Hurwitz is a highly skilled guitar teacher who breaks out of the box between guitar lessons with gigs like scoring video games, sight reading in the pit orchestra at Center Stage, writing guitar books for Alfred Publications and rocking M&T Bank Stadium for The Baltimore Ravens. He has been published by most major trade journals, has created the amazing Steampunk Metronome app for Droid, iPhone and iPad, and even brought rock music camp to Baltimore for the first time in 1999, which he runs to this day under the name of Baltimore Rock Fest. 

Tobias loves teaching guitar, bass, and ukulele lessons in his home studio in Towson MD or via the Skype, Zoom and Face Time platforms. Just ask around. You’ll find that people everywhere enjoy taking lessons with Tobias and that his lessons are highly effective and fun! Of course, beginners are welcome, as are players of all levels and styles.

Tobias has earned numerous awards and endorsements over the years and is a graduate of The Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood California.
